No More Waxman!

Following the redistricting efforts of the non-partisan California commission, the Beach Cities were connected through Dockweiler Beach to the rest of Santa Monica Bay, forming the new 33rd Congressional District.

Incumbent Democrat Henry Waxman (D-Los Angeles) is running for re-election in our district, the first real contest that this long-lasting, self-serving Congressman has met in his nearly 40 years in office.

When he is not badgering fellow Congressmen for favors or bullying witnesses as chairman of the Energy and Oversight committees, Waxman refuses to play a qualified and cooperative ranking member of Congress. He sponsored two monstrously unpopular pieces of legislation – ObamaCare and "Cap and Trade" (Waxman-Markey), both of which passed the House on bare majorities. With the second bill, he shoved in a 300 page amendment at the last minute, in anticipation of a close vote.

Incumbent Embattled

Waxman is rude, crude, with no attitude for compromise. He is an unprepared and unaccountable representative, one who had no working knowledge of this nation’s steroid laws, even though he presided over a wasteful and disgraceful investigation into steroid use in major league baseball.

Recently, Waxman claimed that this country is enduring a depression, than a recession, then refuses to acknowledge, unlike the president’s own campaign manager, that President Obama owns the sorry state of this nation’s economy.

No matter what your party affiliation, do not give Henry Waxman one more term! Vote for Bill Bloomfield for the 33rdCongressional District.
